Removing parts in a STL composition

On STL compositions of multiple parts it would be great to be able to delete
single parts within ONE stl model (could work similar like the magic wand in paint programs)
This could also be easily done by just ignoring a certain area on the printing bed like a defined no-go zone.

You can already do this with Mesh > Separate Connected Surfaces. There's a video about it here:
