CPU or GPU

Which does Simplify use to do the slicing? In other words, to speed up slicing do I want a fast cpu or gpu?

Re: CPU or GPU

Amount of installed memory (RAM) would be the first thing to look at.

Re: CPU or GPU

not using GPU
gcodestat integrates with Simplify3D and allow you to
Calculate print time accurately (acceleration, max speed, junction deviation all taken into consideration)
Embed M117 codes into G-Code
Upload your G-Code directly to Octoprint
open source and unlicence

Re: CPU or GPU

Good answer. Thanks. I'm running Simplify on two different boxes. An older dual core Phenom (3.3ghtz) with an AMD R5 350 video card and a new Ryzen 1700 with an R( 390. The new box is blisteringly faster. (i'll do some numbers and get back) I am going to upgrade the old box and wanted to put my money on the right part.
