Remote Desktop running printer

I have a slightly unusual setup.

My printer is in a far corner of the factory. My CAD workstation is the RnD labs.

So in the past I used repetier host.
One copy on my workstation to instantly build the designs on a fast PC.
One copy on a compute stick which fed the printer gcode. This PC also monitors a couple of webcams pointed at the print bed.

I now have S3D on the workstation but I cannot have S3D on the remote desktop.
Repetier still runs the gcode on the remote desktop.
But the all the print times are off and the live preview doesn't seem to work.
I have had some small print issues, which may or may not be related.

Is there anyway of sorting out the print preview and ETA on repetier? Or is there a version S3D which could just run the code without requiring another license?

The compute stick is too weak to build gcode while streaming two videofeeds and running the printer over a remote desktop as the printer stutters. So installing it locally is not possible.

Any Ideas?

If the print times are different, it's more likely that you just have different settings on that machine. Try setting up the build on one computer, then going to File > Save Factory File. Then open that file on the other computer and slice it there. That will make sure you transferred all the necessary settings.

The licence permits you to install S3D on two machines (for this type of scenario, I assume). I'm doing this myself. I have one machine connected to the printer and another to queue up the next build and fine-tune the slicing before transferring the factory file to the "build" machine.

Does that help?
