E3D hotend and retraction/coasting.

There is some manufacturing problems with E3D for some of us users when it jams all to often, so the solution is to run almost or no filament retraction.
But then it will ooze and string a lot, so i use "coasting" so it will stop extruding a bit before every loop. That goes well for long loops.
Coasting 1-3mm

BUT, there are no option to set minimum loop length??
So all my small loops 5-10mm's or so, gets almost no filament. So it's impossible to make any small "towers".

For example i don't want it to coast when doing loops lesser than for example 15mm or 5mm or...

Or have i misunderstood the "coast" function?

Re: E3D hotend and retraction/coasting.

i assume you are talking about jams with PLA, there are a few fixes to this... the easiest is to go on thingiverse and get a filament cleaner and put a few drops of vegetable oil on the cloth/sponge before you print.

second, read this long post http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=1682 and eventually you will get to a place where they are drilling out the nozzles a bit extra from what you were shipped with.

i don't have any experience with the coast (because i used these helpers) but i thought i would share.
