Overlooked Missing Feature

Hello everyone,
My name is Chris and I am new to this Forum but not new to 3D printing or S3D. I have a legitimate request that has been overlooked since I have been running S3D (last 2 years). I love this program and refer it to everyone that 3D prints https://forum.simplify3d.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=23#. When printing 5-10% infill, there is no way for the first top layers to tie into the infill in some areas. These areas are the printed areas that are being printed between the infill lattice or in mid air. In some cases this could be an area that is supposed to just hang in mid air 1-6 mm or more depending on the size of print and % infill. Please add a feature that will bridge these areas before the top layer prints.

Here are just some of the flaws it causes:
Balled up plastic that sticks up and hits the extruder as it prints.https://forum.simplify3d.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=23#
Resonating in the prints that will show in ever layer.https://forum.simplify3d.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=23#
Bubbles in the print. https://forum.simplify3d.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=23#

Here are some ways I have been getting around this flaw;
Changing infill structure may help reduce this problem. https://forum.simplify3d.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=23#
Increasing infill % (I don't like to do this, wasteful)https://forum.simplify3d.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=23#
3-5 Top layers hides the flaw if you select the Rectangular External Infill Pattern. https://forum.simplify3d.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=23#
Solid Print (Very Wasteful)https://forum.simplify3d.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=23#

A simple solution to this is to bridge areas that this may occur at to provide a point the top layer can bridge to. https://forum.simplify3d.com/posting.php?mode=post&f=23#
