Creatr Dual jog control issue

Hi all!
Has anyone seen an issue where the jog control has no regard for the limit switches for any axis? Example: I home the Z-axis. I then jog the Z-axis +7. I then jog -10 and the build platform gets pressed into the print head. The same goes for both the X and Y-axes, as well, although the X and Y axes make the timing belts jump teeth, thus misaligning the carriages.
I try the same thing with Repetier and it will not move past home. Lends me to this it's a software issue and not firmware?

The software doesn't know anything about the limit switches. That's handled by the firmware. I'm guessing they forgot to wire up the opto endstop correctly or didn't enable the right config options in the firmware's Configuration.h file. The machine shouldn't be allowed to do this regardless of what the software tells it to do.

Thanks, for the reply, JoeJ.
The problem seems to be only with SImplify3D. Using Repetier, I can't cause it to crash. Homing each axis works fine, just not the manual control. It makes sense what you are saying, but why would one program work and one not?

Re: Creatr Dual jog control issue

No luck as of yet. Simplify3D support echoes what JoeJ is saying. I've been in contact with Leapfrog for replacement parts that have been damaged during the crashes (wires pulled out from LED strip when Z overtraveled and arced, causing a short and found build plate isn't perfectly flat, but that could have been like that from day 1), so I'm reaching out to them for their take on the situation. It's been slow since I have a lot of other projects going on as well, and can't focus solely on this at the moment. I'll definitely post if/when a resolution is found.
