It's Makergeeks filament. They say to run their PLA's at 235 and it does actually print pretty good there. The Raptor says 245. I print it there and it makes a good print. I have printed their PLA's much lower also and it does ok.blackbird2016 wrote:Sorry guys for giving the wrong advice here.
I mistook those pictures for some melting away when watching with my mobile this morning.
This certainly is a overhang/less supports issue.
And still I feel 245° for PLA a fairly high temperture, at lest for my PLAs and my setup (silicone sock).
Could well be that this Raptor stuff needs higher temps.
Regarding the infill...
100% in my opinion is overkill.
Even with 50% or 60% this thing will be that sturdy that there is no cup in that world heavy enough.
One would rather tear out the fastening-screw from dash or wall before that holder breaks.
I wish happy printing and success...
Hey guys.greybeard wrote:The Temp 245º is fine. I print PLA at 240º to 245º - it's my default temp for PLA.
Use supports.
