Since new users must have approval, I thought I should write this post to get that ball rolling.

Just got the software; coming from cura. I immediately missed the ability to send the g-code directly to octo print. Needless to say, I hope that is a feature in works. Also, unlike cura, I can use the software in a remote desktop session. Cura's inability to do that was frustrating to no end. I can control my Anet A8 remotely but I can't slice remotely? Ridiculous.

I do hope that they add 3D mouse support to Simplify3D soon, if not then does anyone know how Addins are written? Since I'm a Sofware Developer, I thought that I'd have a go at trying to add supoprt for my 3d Mouse. Support for the 3d mouse isn't like key-mapping, you should really make an in application addin to support it (apparently).

There's already a few add-ons that handle automatic uploads to OctoPrint. You can either do it using the post-processing script in S3D (just by adding a standard curl or upload command), or there's even the useful app described here that keeps everything in sync.
