Simplify3D Support

I'm seeing a slightly worrying trend of Simplify3D support coming from the MakerBot google groups, and even negative comments about Simplify3D's own support forum. Issues that are being reported on the Simplify3D forum don't appear to be taken up in some cases - which isn't very reassuring given that people have paid good money for their software license (those sales seem to come from the positive vibes expressed on the google group by existing users).

Although ANY online support for software is very welcome, I don't think it gives a good impression that Simplify3D isn't handling it's own online support, and I do wonder whether that could be affecting sales of Simplify3D. Maybe Simplify3D should consider closing its own support forum and let the google group be the main source of ongoing support, with a link to that online forum shown on the Simplify3D web site. Alternatively, why doesn't Simplify3D set up its own google group and do away with having to support this phpBB forum?

Re: Simplify3D Support

This forum is not s3d support, its for the users to help other users. S3d doesnt post here, never have. People are welcome to post issues or questions here but any answers here come from the users. If you have a support issue then you need to actually contact s3d support. I think people get the wrong idea and post and issue here thinking that this is the official support channel and if they dont get an answer they are being ignored. Its not the case really. Maybe the other users just dont have an answer

Re: Simplify3D Support

Well I fell into that trap didn't I? I expect others would see this forum as being the "official" resource for getting support for Simplify3D. Anyway, thanks for pointing this out.
