Top solid fill inflation

I would like to request top solid fill inflation, we already have bridge fill inflation which is good but no top solid fill inflation. This is so that I am able to do better prints and better parameter options for this software.

The top solid infill inflation option that I request to give better top solid fills when closing a certain part on top of the sparse infill or when printing low infill, this is so that the solid fill won't fall down and eventually creating holes on them

This has been done on slic3r and simplify3d should have this option as a premium software.

The following link is for reference that were generated from slic3r http://share.pho.to/AKkXC

gcodestat integrates with Simplify3D and allow you to
Calculate print time accurately (acceleration, max speed, junction deviation all taken into consideration)
Embed M117 codes into G-Code
Upload your G-Code directly to Octoprint
open source and unlicence

Re: Top solid fill inflation

This is not simply a +1, but plus +1000000000.

This should really be a pretty simple implementation if we're just talking a layer or two. It would fix many problems and you can leave it to the users to tweak the settings. It solves sooooo many problems in one go.

Of course I do understand if we're talking partial layer finishing like rounded places that there may be some difficulties or maybe more options. But Please add this even if it only works for flat or mostly flat surfaces!

Re: Top solid fill inflation

I am having the same issues.

Slic3r does a decent job out of it - considering it as a type of bridge and even turning on the cooler when these details happens.

Re: Top solid fill inflation

Just to illustrate it better:

Simplify3D:

This simple XYZ Cube detail is causing me a lot of issues with PETG as this small solid winfill does not stick well to the infilll below and sticks to the nozzle....

With Slic3r PE it increases the area and treat it like a type of bridge (in therms of speed/cooling/extrusion) and even turns on the cooler.
