Re: Dense support issue

I've successfully printed your modified version, the support has been removed easealy.
I'm glad to have been able to get it printed okay...
I suppose that you've resolved the issue by reducing the horizontal offset and by manually removing pillars near the object.
I actually added all the support manually around the extreme edge of the part...and along the edge of the stepped section. Reducing the horizontal offset was needed for the side that was shallow, to get the support under the surface.
I also notice that there is difference in supportGridSpacing, but i don't know how to set this parameter.
That's the Support Pillar Resolution. It's set in the settings...but can be dynamically adjusted when using the Support Generation window.
If I use 1 separation layer when printing with 0.1mm layers height, I can't remove the structure because it is melt with the object.
So, why your modified version with 1 separation layer was so easy to peel ?
A very good question. I've got the settings how they are by many small tweaks over a long time of printing. This is what I like about S3D....once you get the permutation of settings right, the results can be very, very good!

Glad to have been of help....

Yes, this is what I'm learning day by day (I'm new to 3D printing). With Slicer3D I printed objects in 1/4 of time compared to the original Cetus software.
Glad to have been of help....
Thank you so much for your precious help!

Ciao.
