I reset the extra distance and separation parameters and tried again before resetting the max angle. The max angle doesn't affect it much, it's the first two parameters. I had already tweaked those before I sent you the factory file which is why it worked for you already.

i tried it as well and everything worked great. the 1mm grid is a bit excessive. i put it back to 3mm with a 45deg angle and a .3mm vert separation. any closer than .3 and it can bond to the model making it hard to remove. these settings are very close to where i run mine and i never have a support issue. it always does what it says its going to do.

Except Jimc look closely in your screenshot.. the middle of the wing where it sticks down has no support under it. That's the issue I was addressing.
