Dear All,
My point here is very simple. I was proud to have spent my money on the Simplify3D licence. At the time indeed it was a very good investment and hands down the best slicer on the market.
Things however have changed a bit since then... Cura has made MASSIVE improvements, the number of settings that can be changed is mind-boggling and now with version 3.3.1 it got also per-model settings and support suppression.
Again, my point is very simple: Cura is free, Simplify3D is not... is it unreasonable to expect at least the same number of features? Shouldn't S3D have an edge over free software?
Last meaningful update was almost one year ago, many features have been added in the Open Source world, from the adaptive layer in Slic3r to the progressive infill in Cura and stuff like ironing and velocity painting. Is there any plan to make this software competitive again?
Thank you
