Profile Update not Saving some values

I am trying to save a profile for my Duplicator 6 plus where I have removed both the extruder and bed controller. I am setting these values in gcode because I have custom startup parameters. The profile modification tag is created when I remove the two controllers and then I do an update to save. If I then load another profile and then return to this profile both controllers are back in the list.

I have also tried just setting the temps to 0 for both extruder and bed and it does the same thing. It puts the temperature back in for the bed but not the extruder. I think this must be a software glitch. It is a pain because I have to check every time.

You might be better just making a new profile from the Help > Configuration Assistant menu (just select "Other" and then enter your parameters).

Otherwise, if you are hacking around with one of the stock S3D profiles, it is easy to screw things up. For example, if you are removing the extruders, but you still have auto configure options that use those extruders, it may not allow you to remove them (sounds like that's what is happening to you currently).

I think I discovered the issue. Just a small glitch I would say. Just hitting update modified profile is not enough. You must close out of the whole window using okay or else it looses your changes.

Now there is another issue cropping up where some of the gcode I have in the startup script is not being placed into the gcode file. This is getting very frustrating .

Yes I did create a new profile but it changes nothing.

Ok, well then why don't you post the exact steps you are following?

For example
1) Help > Configuration Assistant, select "Other"
2) Enter cartesian, 200x200x200 volume, 1 extruder, etc
3) click Finish
4) go to Edit Process Settings
5) etc

That may help see what's going wrong
