When printing models / figures which actually don't have to be strong at all because all they do is farming dust on my cupboards, I would like to print them pretty hollow, like vase mode.
But not all models will end up open or at a very small angle going up, some of them just have a pretty plain surface on top.
For example, printing a ball will end up in an angle of nearly 90°.
So to get the upper surface printed and not hanging, I see 3 options currently
1. set a decent percentage of infill so the upper surface can lay on it
2. setting multiple top layers and hope the current layer will lay on the one before
3. trying to build up bridges (which is nearly the same as 2)
I didn't try out to place support structures manually IN an object, but standard automatic support will not be generated in an object.
So I suggest to add an option like "print infill only when surface laying on has an angle of" or an option like "generate support also inside of object"
This feature would increase printing time, reduce infill printed and will decrease failed prints.
