Multi process continuous printing crashing.

Built a little retraction test model with 7 processes. S3D crashes every time trying to sequentially print layer by later whenever I select more than 3 processes.

Re: Multi process continuous printing crashing.

open a support ticket, this happened to me and my factory file got over written before I uploaded it to them.. This is an issue that has come up a lot.. Support does not monitor this forum much you need to open a ticket on this and let us know the outcome please!
BTW if this is the same factory file you posted in the other thread (shouldn't duplicate threads people will yell at you) it did not crash on my pc running win10 pro.
What are you doing with all those processes in this simple model anyway?

Re: Multi process continuous printing crashing.

Yeah, same model but different issue so I figured a new post.

This model and the many processes are to help calibrate retraction and bridging settings, each process with a slight tweak up the ladder. I did find a connection between the process I select when entering "Prepare to Print". If its not the bottom process in the stack it crashed. With it broken apart it works fine. Now I can't repro it. I'll def submit a support ticket if I can get the bug nailed down again.

Perhaps it had something to do with all the separate bodies. Breaking them up and realizing that doing that has an impact on the slicing makes me think about the questionable print quality on many prints going back. I'm always creating separate bodies in my designs but not always using separate processes so not thinking to break them up.

Good learnings though. Thanks for your help.
