simplify3d does not add a brim, skirt or raft to model

When I edit the process settings to add a Brim, Skirt or raft, Simplify3d does not add any of these to the model as shown in the pictures attached! I have tried 10 different models whit the same results.

What is wrong?
no raft layer page.jpg
No brim added to model.jpg
no brim ready to pring.jpg

For anyone to be able to give a realistic answer to your question, they will need to see exactly how you have things set up.

Can you attach a Factory file to this thread. File menu.....Save Factory FIle

I attached a different factory file. Everything I try fail to do a skirt or a brim or a Raft.

The one for the example was too large to be attached.

Chris and or OP,

Can you attach your factory files?

A quick tip which may help with this. The skirt/brim and raft features will not be generated for your print if the model begins printing off the bed from the start.

A quick way to verify your model is on the bed is:
Right click and spin yourself around so you are looking up from under the bed at the bottom of you model.
Hit Control-L then click on the bottom of the model
If it moves you were not on the bed.. see if you get your skirt now..

Right click and spin yourself around …..
This will probably only work if you have a swivel chair.

Sorry. Couldn't resist it! :D :D :D :D :D :D I'll go and stand in the corner!

ROTFL.. I did walk into that and was incorrect on top of that
The more professional explanations would be:
Click the appropriate mouse button which will let you rotate your image (left button on my PC mouse) While holding the button move the mouse from the bottom of the screen towards the top until you are viewing the bottom of the model.
Or just click it and spin yourself around!

Re: simplify3d does not add a brim, skirt or raft to model

I looked at your Factory File and was able to see the Skirt you have turned on for this. The Skirt lines seem to be hidden under the overhang of the part. If you would like these to be visible you may need to increase the Skirt Offset from Part. Please let me know if you are unable to see these.
