PETG with Ender-3

Good morning

Been a while I used a 3d printer with Simplify3d...but now I acquired this cheapo Ender-3 model which prints PLA very nicely...from first adjusment no failed prints (beside PLA wood of course ;o).

But as PLA isn't very robust and ABS smells....has anyone successfully printed PETG with this machine?
Are there any special settings beside nozzle and bed heating?

The software itself only lists PLA and ABS as material...and the printer is specified for PLA, ABS, TPU and etc....(whatever that means ;o)

Here is some info on using PETG

I use eSUN petg a lot. Speed should be max 40mmS but 35 works better. Starting height needs to be perfect or is collects on the nozzle and then drops burnt buggers on your top surface. If our hot end will do 245C and your bed can be heated to 80C you are good to go, also no part cooling fan at all.
Will stick nicely to glue stick, polyimide tape and probably plain old glass but I have not tried it..
Buy a roll, of Esun White off amazon.. think it is only $22 and play with it.

Attached an image of a camera mount I designed and printed out of eSun PETG.. need to replace those screws with white ones!

Re: PETG with Ender-3

Hello

Looks very nice the camera ;-)
I just recently printed some RPi camera adapters for a fake camera housing (o;

From the specs the Ender-3 nozzle can go up to 255 degrees, and the bed can be heated up to 110 degrees.
Together with the printer I bought some no-name PETG brand...and some other printing beds like filaprint, carbon and so on to test.

Are those the only settings to be changed (speed/temperatures) or are there any changes necessary for retraction and the like?

But sure I will buy some eSun PETG, and most probably some spare 0.4mm nozzles (o;
