First Layer Issues

Tue Feb 19, 2019 12:30 am

I have tried adjusting all of the first layer settings with no success. The skirt lines, shell lines and infill lines never touch. All other layers come out great. It also seems to come out with "reverse elephant foot". The first layers overall dimension is just a bit smaller than the other layers. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am using the latest version.

Adjusting first layer settings just seems to increase or decrease the infill line count.

your build plate is too far from the nozzle. Decrease the starting Z height - you can do that with the G-Code Z offset in S3d, but there should be a hardware adjustment on your printer as well.

What printer?

Redoing the leveling to get a proper gap between nozzle and bed is the first step.
