[SOLVED] Build summary on top of G-code file

Hello,

My printer is able to estimate the remaining time of a print if there is total build time on the top of the g-code file.

I saw there is the "build summary" on the bottom, so I want to find a wait to have it on the top.

Is there a way to do it ?
maybe with post processing script ? (but I don't find a variable like [build_time] to do it )

thanks for your help

regards

Re: Build summary on top of G-code file

We can recreate most of the build statistics using the following post processing script.

{PREPEND "; Build Summary\n; Build time: [total_print_time_min] minutes\n; Filament length: [total_filament_used] mm\n; Plastic weight: [total_filament_weight] g\n"}

Note: Plastic Volume and Material Cost are not variables available for scripting, so they're omitted from this script.

Re: Build summary on top of G-code file

That is exactly what I needed thanks
I was looking all around the forum but I never found [total_print_time_min]
Where can we find an exhaustive list of variables like this ?
There are some topics about it but nothing exhaustive

Your statements are correct...and your question has been asked before, but never answered!

I suspect that the full list of variables is either not known by Simplify3D, or they don't want us to know the information for some reason!

Re: [SOLVED] Build summary on top of G-code file

Thanks

As it seems you know post processing script well, I have some basic questions :)

what is the langage used ?
(very basic / stupid question but I didn't find it)

is it possible to manupulate the variables like [total_print_time_min] ?
exemple : i found that my printer is almoust 20% slower than the time calculated, so I would like to [total_print_time_min] * 1.2 or something like this

Thanks for your help

It can be dangerous to assume!! Unfortunately, I'm not the best person to answer your follow-on questions, as I don't think I've ever used post-processing.
