Printing two colors

Hi All, I would like to print two different colors in the same model. I've got a Makerbot 2X (dual extruders) and I know the Gcode supports it as they have test models that print in two colors. The tutorial on dual extruders only tells you how to use the different extruders to do things like infill vs outside or supports. Any thoughts on how I might manage this?
