Highlight areas needing support and improve automatic placement.

Maybe this is a feature I cant find but it would be great if Simplify could highlight areas that would need support for a given angle or overhang.

It would massively help when orientating a part to minimise supports and help to identify areas that could easily me missed when placing manual supports eg, missing supports on surfaces because "from build platform only" has been selected.

Re: Highlight areas needing support and improve automatic placement.

Thanks for sharing your idea. This sounds like it would be a really great tool. As a current workaround, you could use the supports tool's automatic generation to generate supports with a chosen angle threshold and pillar size. Where the pillars are generated is where the supports would need to be placed based on the angle chosen. The only issue I could see there is if there are surfaces needing to be supported that are smaller than the minimum pillar size.

I've written up a detailed request for our developers to review. Let me know if you have anything more on this specific topic to add so I can keep the request updated!

Thanks again!
