How toStrengthen Tall Thin Supports

Doesn't help. I use 45, -45. Support is too tall and thin.

Because I have a similar problem, I have played with some solutions.

Instead using a complicate support tree it suffers to use a simple shim, an adjusted form or similar . Positioned under the print edge in certain distance, S3D build support from the print table up to the shim and than from the shim up to the models edge.

Easy but effective!

It would also probably help to use some Extra Inflation Distance for this to help increase the area the supports have for that small section. It will expand the 'footprint' of the supports which should make them a bit more stable.

Yes, this can help a bit but the down side is it expands all of the supports so it has an adverse effect on the other supports on the model.

Since you only need it for this one section it may be best to manually place a couple large pillars beneath the hand here. Do the Auto-Generate at 1mm for accuracy but then manually place a 5 or 6mm pillar or two under the fingers to give those supports a nice big area to build in.

As previously mentioned, you can add a Support Part...

Example shows placement of two Support Parts:
• one rotated 180º about it’s Z-axis
• both were placed under overhang and use the Scaling feature (showing one scaled Z, non-uniform)

Attached is the Support Part. You can scale that too as needed (current dimensions may be heavier-duty than you want...)

For the example, I added some supports manually...
