Issues with setting up Delta Printer

Hello Everyone!

I had acquired a used 3d printer a few months back. it is an Iverntech D1 Kossel Delta. It is pretty much a rebranded Anycubic Printer of the same name. I am having an issue with setting it up. I can't find a proper profile, and any of the Anycubic profiles don't work either. When I attempt to print, it gets the bed up to the 70C that is required for the PLA+ I have and the printer completely reboots, which is annoying.

I have attempted the exact same print using the exact same STL file, from Ulitmaker Cura and it prints fine, making me think its Simplify3D somehow. I want to use Simplify3D as I have heard a LOT of positive things about it. Can someone help me set it up?

If you need any log files or anything, I will gladly give them to you, Im just new to this whole thing, without a successful print, just let me know where any files are and I'll upload them to you as soon as I see it.

Thanks in advance!
Will

Re: Issues with setting up Delta Printer

Alright I figured out the issue with it starting, I can get a print to load and run properly, however, now it wants to start with a Z offset on its own. it will try and start a print about 2-3 mm above the bed and all I get is a stringy mess. I attached my profile to this reply.

Any help will be greatly appreciated as I have had nothing but struggles since I've started trying to get this right.

Thank you in advance!

Re: Issues with setting up Delta Printer

It looks like there is a line in your starting script "G1 Z15.0 F5000;". This will put the nozzle at Z=15mm and then it seems like it will extrude 3mm of filament in mid-air and then begin the print. Is this the behavior you have been observing?

For you current situation I would suggest setting up a custom profile for your printer by going to Help > Configuration Assistant, and then selecting "Other" from the bottom of the list. You will then be prompted to enter your basic machine information. Once that is complete, the software will automatically create a customized profile for you based on that information.

For more information, I highly recommend this forum post:

Re: Issues with setting up Delta Printer

My apologies for the delay in response, by playing around with the settings, I managed to get stuff to somewhat work.

Yes that is exactly the behavior I am experiencing, and it was not intentional. Would it be best to remove the line? or just adjust it to G1 Z1 F5000? I just went through the assistant per your suggestion, and it didn't quite do what I wanted it to do. It removed the GCode, and I'm not exactly sure the best way to do that.

I have the GCode saved, so thats not a huge deal, however, is it better just to have G28?

I attached the new Factory File.

EDIT: I am also having issues with supports. I can't seem to get them to generate on some models, but have no problems with others. I attached a couple images below if you don't quite get what I mean. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, the Factory file that is attached was generated with a model ready to print that is having problems with supports.
