Raft adheres to print after moving to V4

Printing ABS. My rafts used to be ok in version 3, but since moving to 4 I am unable to separate the raft from the print.

I increased the separation to .18 and increased the above raft speed to 40%, but my latest test still has the raft fuzed to the print.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ross

What other raft settings are you using? The best solution is usually to increase the separation distance but doing this too much can also result in poor surface quality for the bottom of your part. If you do not want to increase the distance for this reason you could try using a slightly faster Above Raft Speed, like 60% or 70%, and you could also try using a slightly less dense Top Layer.

I never use rafts but I have an enclosure and use polymide tape on the bed. ABS sticks very well. When I have to print something really small that may come loose I use a brim. Choose the skirt option use 6 skit outline and make the distance .03mm from the part. You may need to experiment with this setting as it is dependent on accuracy of the printer and plastic extuded.. This brim will hold the part on and still be easy to remove. If not easy to remove increase offset from part by .02mm and try again.
