MAker Gear M2 - 'machine does not support plaintext .gcode files'1003-19-1624

Hello,

When I try and print directly from Simplify 3D to my Maker Gear M2 , I get an error dialog box with the following message: "This machine does not support plaintext .gcode files" For reference, I'm on a Win 7 Pro machine.

Prior to this 2 years ago I was using the same files but on windows 8 (that laptop died) and never had an issue

Have there been any fixes or solutions to this?
