It sounds like this is probably an issue with your current graphics setup. Can you please try the following? Please open Simplify3D by entering the following three lines into the command prompt.
cd "C:\Program Files\Simplify3D-4.1.2"
SET QT_OPENGL=angle
Simplify3D.exe
Then please go to Tools > Options, and click on the Visualization tab. Change the acceleration mode to "Compatibility Mode". Then save your changes and restart the software. This should allow the 3D display to work correctly with your graphics card.
