Disable animations on UI?

I find when I click certain sections of the UI the input elements 'size' up from the top to the bottom. I often need to visually compare settings between my two extruders and the animation is distracting and prohibits this. It also looks like a bug in comparison to all other windows software, so I'd love to disable it.
