Top Layer Incomplete BEFORE Printing

So I've been using Simplify3D for a year or so and have never encountered this problem (or any problem a little Googling couldn't fix), and I'm pretty confused.

I've noticed that when the face at the top of the object I'm trying to print is wide and flat, it doesn't seem to be completing? It doesn't appear to be a problem with the .stl, as if I rotate the model (to make the top face not flat), it does not do this. I did a test print of one of these files to see if what I was getting in the sliced preview would appear in the final print, and it did. I've combed through my settings, and I've no idea what I could've done to make this happen!

At the risk of looking a fool, here are images of what I'm talking about. Please help me find what setting has me confounded!

Same model, rotated 30deg on X:

Different models (also from Thingiverse) doing the same thing:

Not sure what I a looking at, but if the model is only printing to a certain height and stopping, check your processes advanced tab and make sure there is no check mark in stop printing at height (top left)

Thanks, Airscapes, but unfortunately I'd thought of that :( Confirmed it's not set to stop printing at a certain height.

What leads you to believe they are not finishing? Looks like normal top layers stuff to me. The color difference is because you have it showing color vs print speed. Smaller surfaces will slow down to prevent overheating.

the other thing is you may nave the preview limited to only displaying so many layers.
Look at the botom of the preview there is a box that if checked will only show the number of lines or layers entered..
