Can'r figure out this issue!!

hello there!

I am having some bizarre issues...

take a look at this picture... this side you can see the issues...

now look at this one, which is the other side of benchy... no problems!

I cant figure out what I am missing here or what to try!!

I am using Artillery X1 v4.

Without a factory file no one can say what settings have been used and/or how the benchy has been printed...

What you're seeing there is called a "Z scar", that's where the retracts happened. So it might be worth it having a closer
look at them as they often are very specific to material/extruder combinations...

Thanks, the issue was with the Z position being fixed. I changed that to "Optimize for start points..." under the layer setting.

But now, the retraction is not smooth as I would like it to be. Some areas the blobs/zits are visible now... here is how it looks on the slicer:

My settings are:

Printer: Artillery X1 v4
Nozzle Diameter: .40 mm
Extrusion Multiplier: 0.96
Extrusion Width: .50 mm
Retraction Distance: 2.00 mm
Retraction vertical lift: .5 mm
Retraction Speed: 3000 mm/min

Primary Layer: 0.1500 mm
top Solid Layers: 10
Bottom Solid Layers: 10
Outline/Perimeter Shells: 5

Temperature:
E - Layer 1 = 215
E - Layer 13 = 195
Bed = 60

Default Print: 3000 mm/min
Outline Underspeed: 30%
Solid Infill Underspeed: 90%
Support Structure Underspeed:80%
X/Y Axis movement Speed: 6000 mm/min
Z Axis Movement Speed:1002.0 mm/min

Advanced:
Only retract when crossing open spaces
Force retraction between layers
Only wipe extruder for -outer-most perimeters
