Dead/unusable zones

HI All,

First post, so please be gentle. I'm not sure if I'm using the right terminology but have searched for a number of different terms and not got the answer/info I was looking for so thought I'd post this.

On my 3d printer (Creality CR10s) Ive got a power supply for the heated bed and 4 bulldog clips as hazards for any of my prints and I was wondering if theres a way to represent them graphically in the model/print preview/simulation or to take account of the during the print run simulation so I dont try to print on one of them or damage my equipment with the print had clattering into one of them?

Re: Dead/unusable zones

There is something you can do....

On Windows in the folder c:/users/youurname/appdata/local/simplify3d/Sd£-software there will be an .stl file named after your printer. This is the print bed image you see. For Mac, perhaps someone else could provide the path to where the file is stored.....

Import into your CAD package, add the bits you want showing, and re-save as an .stl file and re[place the existing file.

It will only act as an aid to you. The software will know nothing about it.
