Supports not extending to edge of model

hi folks!

I'm trying to print a model with supports. While supports look perfect in the slicer, while printing supports don't go all the way to the edge of the device, leading to the filament above having nowhere to sit on. Note that while supports don't extend to the edge of the model, they print perfectly otherwise.

Anyone have any ideas?

I'm printing with a 0.8 mm nozzle with 0.5 mm layer height. My support pillar resolution is 2 mm. I know I have some minor printing issues, but the supports seem to be way off the edge. I'm looking for a way to extend my supports and get them all the way there.

You may want to have a look at "Extra Inflation Distance" on the "Support"-Tab, this can be used to extent the supports beyond the exterior of your parts.

Maybe you'd like to add a factory file, so others can have a look at the settings and maybe suggest other solutions.

Just out of curiousity, what hotend are you using?

If using automatic extrusion width (0.96mm) those settings will demand more than regular hotends like the e3d v6 can deliver at speeds of about 30mm/s and above....
