Filament for Petrol / Gasoline

Hello,

I am looking for 3D printing filaments for that is resistant to automotive fuel systems.

Fuel lines are often manufactured with PTFE, but this is not readily available.

Please can you advise and Filament products that are available and resistance to Petrol / Gasoline?

Why not Google for filament guides. There's loads about....some are bound to include the physical & chemical properties of the materials.

Hi Hugh!

Maybe there is a less expensive filament for that, but Fluorinar Kynar PVDF is rated resistant to Fuel/Diesel at up to 140 deg C. Depending on the type of PVDF it may drop to 110 deg C. I bought a roll (Fluorinar-C) from them but didn't print with it yet as I want to fully master PETG printing before that PVDF. Nozzle temp is between 250-260 deg C, and bet temp 110 deg C. Very high price though... 220 USD / 1kg.

I have spent several days searching for chemical resistant filaments and drilling down for Hydrocarbon resistance, but not found much.

Have just searched for Filament guides and as you say there are a few.

You may want to investigate some of Natureworks Ingeo based resin PLA filaments.

I haven't personally used any of these products but I recall reading some of Natureworks data sheets and the some of the data included test results with various organic solvents which indicated good compatibility.

Lots of US based filamanent makers are using Natureworks, you'll have to research further it comes in I beleive 3 or 4 grades.
