STL file cannot sliced correctly

Hi everyone

I'm using S3D already for years by now. Every once in a while you get problems to achieve correct GCodes
I’m using one of my selfmade printers working with Duet 2 Wifi.

The attached STL file I cannot slice so that i get it run.
The original File comes from a guy who sells 3D-planes to print.
He says that only Cura can slice this file to get the correct GCode.

Do you have an idea where the problem ist o be located? Can you get it sliced an get a GCode?

I tried now for over 2 days but no result.

I would appriciate if you can help me out.

And great thank you for your efforts.

Martin

Re: STL file cannot sliced correctly

This model appears to be a single, open surface, rather than a valid, manifold STL.

The following links explain these issues in more detail and provide specific suggestions for how to fix them:

The main issue is that I believe that these models were created this way on purpose, to trick the slicer into slicing them a certain way, which will not work on Simplify3D without extensive tweaks and workarounds.
