So mine came Friday, earlier than expected so that was great.
Tests have been good.
I am finding a few issues with prints to work on but I am sure it is going to take time to get used to the machine since all of my current machines are direct drive and I have never used a Bowden machine.
Hello, I have had the F410 for over a year now. I haven't used it in a while though and in trying to use it again over the last few days I'm remembering why.
This post is long and while some of it is me venting, all of these issues are severe and print destroying. These things are expensive, and I the support system takes forever to deal with... Maybe some other F410 owners out there have had one or more of these and can tell me what TF is wrong with it! I'm sorry for the length but, I'm sick of waiting days or weeks to have a 10 minute convo with support...
To start, it arrived with defective heads. I had spent roughly 3 months in contact with support trying to figure out why every thing we tried was horribly bad before they suddenly said that that batch of printheads was defective and sent me new ones. While the new heads did significantly improved print quality, I have never once had a perfect print as advertised or as everyone else seems to get. I have spent insane amounts of time changing little things here and there and repeatedly having to cancel prints. Considering the price tag, I'm truely disappointed in this thing....
Currently, I am trying to print in the PETG that comes with the machine. Just one of the models I have tried to print over the last few days had 9 attempts, all of which ended in failure with only 2 having a decent enough first layer to proceed to the second layer, both of those had to be stopped before the 3rd layer though. The worst 2 of these attempts were made using a freshly downloaded, directly from Fusion3, default PETG profile. Everything set to default, using the filament they send you with the machine, by far the worst attempts....
Of the many issues I have, some are much more catastrophic then others.
First:
When begining a new print, the nozzle is heated, causing filament to extrude. It is then pressed into the glass and cooled before checking for bed level. Once that's done, it goes to front left corner and heats back up causing more filament to extrude. Then, right before starting, it extrudes several centimeters, creating a large mess under the nozzle. (Seems normal so far,) but It then lowers into that mass and and moves to start the print, dragging that mass with it, continuing to extrude, making a bigger stringy mess which is brought directly into the print. I have tried manually removing this as it comes out with some success however, it's difficult to do with a tool and I'm sick of burning my fingers.. every filament does this, PETG seems to be the only one that takes that pile with it into the print..
2. It does not seem to matter what I set the temps at (bed, 70-85c, nozzle, 220-240c), using one, two or three layers of glue, the first layer is always horrible. *Large clumps building up on the nozzle that drag and catch,
*Little whispy strings or globs from the layers that push new layers off to the side or up to the nozzle,
*Runs don't stick to the table no matter how hot or cold or how much glue there is, when the head turns to do another line, it pulls the still attached previous line with it, which then causes it to collect and destroy itself.
And now the really irritating other issues (with just the first layer.)
*Every single time, that I manage to figure out the perfect settings for one specific area of the print, (ex, a large flat area of straight simple motions,) and I get them looking perfect, correct thickness, width, height, no globs or loose areas... The moment it moves to a different area, like an area with circles or smaller shapes, it's as if the new settings where specifically set to screw that area up. Globs, or completely empty areas, filament not even reaching the bed as it moves around and pulls everything that did look decent up onto the nozzle.
*Every time it is done with an area and moves to a different one, it crosses itself and hits hard. The whole head shudders and it drags through the center of the print. Either gouging a massive line through it or bouncing off and breaking pieces off.
*If I set it to avoid crossing over itself, then instead, when it would cross, it shakes violently and aggressively moves slightly over and then crosses over a different area of itself.
*If I set it to lift after it finishes an area, then it always over-extrudes before lifting and under-extrudes before starting, causing major stringing and chunks everywhere.
I was happy to have this thing once, a long time ago.... Before it arrived... Now, when I do have an issue, support wants an email, they say it's faster service then a phone call yet, it takes them 3 days to a week to respond to the email.
Perhaps some of you other F410 owners who seem to have gotten your monies worth, have some knowledge you can share? Would be nice to be able to get a single, "high quality" object from the otherwise most expensive and worthless cabinet I have ever bought.....

I too, am having the same issues with my F410, so far its been a really Large Expensive Paperweight, with a really nice cabinet.
since then I have bought 2 Artillery Sidewinders from Amazon, and they will do circles around the F410 !!!!!
What issues are you having? Maybe I can help. I have mine doing quite will with PLA and ABS.
We also have a Fusion3 group on Facebook you can join for help.
Search for fusion3 3d printer users.
I had an F400 at my last company and absolutely loved it. No major issues and most prints came out beautiful. My only complaint was that the optical bed leveling probe required frequent recalibration, but they may have addressed that in the F410.
