V5 What are the blue bounding boxes on processes?

The blue bounding boxes on processes are annoying - at least at this point. I can see how they could be useful at times, but I can't figure out what they are called, or how they can be disabled. Is there a button I can poke somewhere to turn those off or on?

I use multiple processes in all my builds and when they are grouped it's way too much blue.

Put it in dark mode and the blue really pops. I think they were just modernizing it with the true blue selection color. I kinda like it actually.

Nested parts, multiple processes per part - I can't see the bottom of the build.

Re: V5 What are the blue bounding boxes on processes?

The blue boxes represent the custom zones that you applied to each selected process. So they will only show up if you click on Custom Zones and enable the Z height limits.

For example, if you have a 40mm diameter cylinder and you go to Custom Zones and tell that cylinder to only print from 0-10mm, you will see a 10mm tall blue box that now shows up around the cylinder when you click on that process.

We found this was extremely helpful to identify which processes where printing which Z ranges. For example, if you use the Variable Settings Wizard to divide a part into multiple Z ranges, it is now far easier to tell which process prints each zone.

Re: V5 What are the blue bounding boxes on processes?

Every job I run has multiple processes and multiple heights.
I can't see through the blue boxes because there are so many of them. Helpful or not, I need an option to turn them off.

Re: V5 What are the blue bounding boxes on processes?

this is a feature that was DESPERATELY missing from multi process. problem is they chose an obnoctious annoying bright primary blue and its "hard to see"

both the orange model and the "boxes" need shaders or something to make them easier to "SEE"

but shit $60 to upgrade was worth the price JUST for this. (I use a TON of multi process and not being able to SEE after creation was a serious pain in the butt :-)

I see value in the feature, but I can't see my models. Just add a check box.

Re: V5 What are the blue bounding boxes on processes?

as a temp fix just "don't select" a process and it goes away.

Yep and make sure you don't have processes grouped - or they are ALL on.

Re: V5 What are the blue bounding boxes on processes?

I think the idea was that if you select a single process, then you see a single blue box representing the zone for that process. Even if you have custom zones for 10 different processes, the blue boxes don't show up unless you actually select all 10 of those processes.

I can see how grouping would be problematic since it tends to select all the child processes. I wonder if there's another way to retain the usefulness of this feature, but not have it become overwhelming when there are lots of processes...
