Panel control V5

Why did you delete the flow and speed settings in the control panel?

And is there a chance to configure macro buttons?
Btw where are the firmware and communication settings?

I believe many of the firmware and communication settings are now auto-detected behind the scenes. You shouldn't need to manually configure those anymore. If the printer connections using the device setup wizard, then the software will remember those settings for the future.

I know what you mean, but I have to change different settings to make our 3d printer work.

We are a 3D printer manufacturer and for some things we had to define for example the tool change from T0/T1 to M6 T0/T1 or the percentage of the cooling fan is in a range from 0-100 not from 0-255. I can't change the buffer size anymore too to make the printer work in a smoother way without any stops. With the M105 there is an extra Command M27 which we don't need.

We need a full machine control panel as well because we can't drop the gcode on a sdcard - we are just working with a direct communication because we don't use an extra screen to change the flow rate and so on.

So right now our customers won't be able to use S3D anymore. That's pretty irritating.

I am a process developement engineer in a company which produces pellet 3d printers for industrial use and I am scared that we can't use S3D anymore for our products that we are manufacturing and selling.

Do you need to make these changes in the output gcode files? There's several other ways you could do that in V5 already. Let me know if you want instructions.

I know that I can make several changes with a post processes to change for example to M6. But it would be much easier if I get the control back like in V4.
I found a new bug in the machine control panel. When I type in a custom command for our machine sometimes S3D sends the command M104 T0 S0 (turn off heater) with it. But why?

Can you make a statement from S3D side about the machine control panel if there will be changes to get back to a version like in V4? If not we can't use and provide S3D for our customers anymore. Maybe we can communicate in private messages to tell you something more about me and my company.
