Feature comparison version 4 vs 5

Does anybody have a feature comparison between the version 4 and 5 releases? What functionality was added/improved/removed?

All I have read so far does not give a great picture of the new version. License limited to one computer, on the fly machine adjustments not supported, no resin printer support, even after 4 years development "a few" bugs... but I am pretty sure that there is more to the story.

release notes: for V5

hard to explain removed. since it might be altered not removed.
For instance grid infill you had to specify 45 and -45 for the two angles now you just specify 1 angle and it does the other 90 to the angle you specify. But this in my book reduced the ability to very custom things but simplified things for the average user.

Something removed might be bugs. like Check box is missing to hide objects so you can easily work on others in a build plate.

Another unwelcome change was the number displayed when scaling and rotating reset back to 100% or zeros once applied but the object does keep the scale/rotation applied. So you don't know if the scale was applied if you go back to check later.

Re: Feature comparison version 4 vs 5

Have you tried to slice and print using a previous model that you had complicated - &+ angles? Is the infill angle still consistently orientated with X and Y axis regardless of bed placement? Any rotation of the model would change everything as far as infill start and stop positions and print head path.

We make a product www.pitchouts.com that is super complex and depends on special angle infills. Almost 2 years of development to get our product to print correctly. Only S3D can print our product, and we have held off developing our newer model until V5. I am reading all of these comments so that we can concentrate on the model and avoid the pitfalls. I would love to hear any experiences with complex models using the new angle infills. They are tricky but allow unimaginable support structures that no other slicer can do. We are starting on our new design on 3 January, and will be using V5. So far, we are almost at square one due to lack of knowledge of these changes, without doing hours of testing. We have to achieve the exact same outcome of our current model using V4. Any insight is welcome, and I will post any developments between V 4&5 using infill angles.
