Double click and no model on default screen

Good Evening
When I double click an STL (macOS 10.14) S3D opens, but nothing appears in the main window. I can "Prepare to Print" without issues, but I cannot alter anything before that

Ideas please?

Very odd. If you open S3D manually and then import that same STL file, does everything work?

Yes... no issues that time. Also should the last selected Process appear on opening? I'm getting empty there, too, no matter which method of opening I use
