Adaptive layer height causes gaps in support

Testing out imported tree supports to see if there is some ability to use them with the new "right click as support" option. Have to set them at 100% infill or they simply get cut to pieces so not even sure this will work. However the Adaptive layer height is cutting them and causing gaps.

Here is with adaptive on. Tried changing everything I could but these 2 gaps always remained.

Here is with removing adaptive up to this layer height and activating it after the gaps.

Have you tried using the repair options in S3D to check for non-manifold of self-intersection issues? Those can frequently be the cause for problem like this.
