XYZ Calibration

I am trying to calibrate my XYZ axis. The X and Y axis are of by .25mm. Is that normal? the Z-Axis if within .05mm.

My question is where in Simplfy3d do I change the values to make the values closer?

Re: XYZ Calibration

in what way are they off? your printer should start by homing to the endstop switches where everything is set to zero. your z height is adjusted on your machine an adjusted usually by something that contacts a micro switch...adjustment bolt for instance. there are many ways things can be "off" so you need to be more specific or show us a picture of the trouble your having with your prints.

Re: XYZ Calibration

I mean if I print something that is 10x10x10 mm ... the x and y axis are off by .25 mm. The x axis and y axis measure 9.75 mm but the z axis measures close to 10mm. Other's have calibrated their printers in the gcode, but I do not now how to do this in Simplify3d.

Re: XYZ Calibration

what kind of printer are you using? If it's a RepRap style printer where you flash your own firmware, make sure the steps per mm is correct. You can use the Prusa Calculator to figure out what your steps per mm should be based off your hardware specifications:

If it's a non RepRap style printer just go onto tweaking the settings below

Once you have the proper steps per mm, you then want to tune extrusion multiplier, extrusion width, and filament diameter to get the calibration close to perfect.

OK ...I got it change the steps/mm My question all along is where in simplify3d can I do this? it looks like there are several options within Simplify3d where I can do this. I am not sure what they all mean.
