STL 'reload modified file' issue

When exporting a complex file from Blender to STL, S3D has an issue with the auto updating. I get the 'reload modified file' popup as expected (great, great feature for me) but at times the pop-up will repeat five or six times for the single Blender export requiring me to answer the prompt for each one. most of the time I only get one pop-up in S3D.

Seems like some sort of timing issue where S3D picks up the new file a few times while the file is still being created.

How big is the final STL file that Blender exported?

Re: STL 'reload modified file' issue

File size is 81,601KB

The files size is large due to the detail level I exported it at. I needed a particularly high detail level for this model.

Hope that helps.

Re: STL 'reload modified file' issue

Also if you change an STL when S3D is not running it will not pick up the change later on e.g.. When you run S3D and load the factory file containing the given STL file it will keep the old version and not pop up the change.
