how in the world of all heck do I configure a delta?

I have an FLSUN Q5 200x200 delta

I can not for the life of me get it to work correctly. I know the machine works since old gcode on the sd card prints fine

when I try to configure it it homes and what not then scoots off into one direction and stutters against its stops

I found a profile on thingiverse and it was weird but close. now configured as such it SORT OF works.

It heats up but then starts printing FROM HOME (the top) does not even attempt to do a homing sequence (each arm etc..) just starts printing up in the sky at z+200

I have it set to cylinder 200x200 141.5 141.5 0 center center max and flip y

ALSO I always have to set diameter larger than my actual diameter. at 200mm it will not let me place an object "close" to 200mm across (circle so no square interference issues) 198mm and it says its too large even though its clearly not too large. (its a rocket so it narrows at the top though I think this machine has a full 200mm diameter to 200mm Z

Suggestions? I tried extracting the FFF profile from the gcode file. did not work. something is "changing" after it does its thing. hell V5 won't even let me do that I had to use V4 to try that.

v5 is very confused about this. even when I set diameter to 220mm it says its too big. if I tell it to scale to make it makes it bigger (from 198mm to 201mm) and then properly centers it but if I hit "center an arrange" it shifts it off the plate and says its too large again WTAF?

it also refuses to "center" objects properly. always "off center"

Are you using V5.0.1? Have you tried going to Help > Configuration Assistant, choosing the manual configuration option and the bottom and then changing the build volume type to cylindrical?

No I have not tried that I simply tried to import my old profile which did not work it also did not work importing it into version 4 version 4 tended to butcher Delta profiles I'm not sure why

I have not tried the configuration assistant I will give that a try in the next hour and report back on the results
