Unevenly spaced / offset supports?

For some reason the supports seem to be offset to one side throughout my model. I wanted a horizontal separation to make them easier to remove but was expecting it to be symmetrical.

The image shows where it is most obvious. The final print followed the preview exactly, but the print in matte black is much harder to see.

Have you tried lowering the support pillar resolution to 1mm? That will create smaller pillars that are typically more balanced for small features like this.
