Another client of ours confirmed that the software shutdown was indeed brought on by their anti-virus application. I think Sophos was what they were using. They could clearly observe that the programme functioned properly as long as the anti-virus was turned off or the proper exception was applied.

Thanks Jason.

I removed the listed registry values and reinstalled but that did not help, still issues with factory files crashing S3D v 5.0.1+ (including the savedstate factory file), and no ability to drag and drop stls. Again, this is with Sophos enabled or completely disabled via our IT department. I'm hoping to try v5.0.1 on few other machines at our office for more data points (so far 1 working, 1 not). There are still quite a few registry keys related to simplify beyond the keys listed for removal in the link. I will perhaps try a registry cleaner for a more thorough removal.

Yes, please keep us posted if it works better on the other machine (and hopefully that other machine doesn't have Sophos installed at all).

For anyone else experiencing issues, please let us know what actions you are performing in the software when it crashes. it isn't helpful to just post a crash report with no other context. We need to know the exact steps you were taking, and frequently the exact files and models you were using, to be able to reproduce the issue.

Upon quitting is the one posted here. I also get MOST of the crashes after pressing the SLICE button and/or disk operations....
I think you havent fully debugged the file semaphor environment on MacOS :(

If it happens when slicing, then there's a good chance it's related to the exact models or process settings you are using. If it happens again, please post the exact factory file for the build that reproduces the issue. We aren't having any success reproducing it ourselves, including plenty of tests on MacOS.

OK I think I finally got a correlation of the crashes....

At least for the MacM1 it is related to "add multiple supports" tool.

If I go to save or slice ANY file i've added multiple supports to, there are 90% chances the program crashes!
