Verbose mode

we need to be able to choose "verbose mode" or NOT. The current data stream is much too fast to catch anything useful.

Re: Verbose mode

To be fair, they did update it so that you can scroll back. Before, it follows the stream and it was annoying to go back the log.

Re: Verbose mode

Instead of a single verbose checkbox in the Machine Control Panel, there's now 5 separate options so you can customize what is included in the Communication log (sent, received, warnings, etc). Just uncheck whichever ones you don't want to see.

I think what OP is talking about is that the communication log has a lot of things that are kind of useless for the user. We understand that these commands that are being sent is needed to update the information about the machine. BUT it also makes it difficult to grab the information that the user needs. I appreciate that it got updated so we can filter by sent, received, warning, etc. and that the scroll doesn't follow the log so it is easier to copy data from the log.

IMHO, I think it is more valuable if we can filter by what S3D sent/received and what a user sent/received (ie. "verbose" mode). A good example would be for Marlin firmware if I want to do M503 to grab some information from the EEPROM of my machine. It does make it difficult when S3D keeps sending M107 and M27. Even if we filter it by Received, I still get the printer's response from those 2 command which then floods the communication log and pushes the response from my M503 up the log.
