Understand Increase fan speed for layer below

I user the V4.1.2 and fighting with the Fan_Cooling->"Increase fan speed for layer below" for me there are some logic problem or error when it is enabled.
In this old thread another person have problem understanding it: viewtopic.php?t=11686

I expect it to work like this:
-When the print time for a layer is faster then the time we set there it is enabled, for that layer!
-When print time for a layer is not faster it must restore what user set in the fan_control_box.

Can someone from S3D please explain the function (is it same working logic in V:4.1.2 and V:5.0.2??)

Re: Understand Increase fan speed for layer below

The fan speed follows your normal setpoints to start with. So if you set your fan speed to be 50% on layer 1, then it's going to run at 50% until it hits another setpoint or something else changes it.

If you enable the "increase fan speed for layers below X seconds" option in V4, then the fan speed will increase when the layer time is quicker than X. So if you set the value to 5 seconds, but the layer is quicker than 5 seconds, then the fan may increase from 50% to 60, 70, etc.
