Help, blobbing and filament unload

i'm trying to print this cal.stl from the RepRap guys to show off Creator.

The FFF, gcode and cal.stl parts are attached.
I am using 32 bit Creator 1.1.2 over a short and shielded USB cable.

I've run this with a raft and got a blob right when the middle hole is starting.
It runs about 20mm of filament into the extruder, then pauses, then reverses the extruder and unloads the filament.
After this, it pauses, and will continue, but I am not sure how it goes, as I stop it.

I've run this without a raft, same thing.

I am using skirt as seen in the FFF, offset 2.3mm and 6 loops, for 1 layer.

What is happening?

Also, when doing the 6 skirt outlines, at the starting point for each loop, there is a retract and pause.
I think there should be a minimum distance required before retract is performed.

Re: Help, blobbing and filament unload

This has been discussed in these forums before. I had the same problem until I found out the Marlin firmware on the M2 does not handle arc compensation
very well so you must turn it completely off in FFF settings under the g-code tab.

OK, will try that.

I just tried to do a print without skirt and it blobbed.
