Upgrade Features

Hi
Some of the new features are really usefull for me...in particular, the dynamic infill support feature so there is a good infill for details without having to crank the infill up globally
Just from a user point of view, I open simplify and go to the help menu; there is a quick start but in general, Im expecting like a reference manual as I cant really see anything in the infill menu that talks about that new feature?

Re: Upgrade Features

We already wrote several sentences about every single setting in the software to help explain what each one does. If you hover your mouse over the input for each setting, you should see a small tooltip pop up providing more information about that setting. And of course, if there's any that you still need help with, feel free to ask!

If you need help finding the new features, I recommend using the settings search in the top right of the process settings window. Just type the name of the setting you want to find ("ironing", "monotonic", etc) and it will take you directly to that tab and setting within the user interface.

Dynamic Infill

I have the same question. I see the "Dynamic Infill Density" feature highlighted everywhere but can find no information on how to turn it on or use it? I followed the advice and typed "Dynamic Infill" everywhere and it still does not tell us. Is it possible that this feature is always on (which would be less than ideal)? i.e. if Simplify thinks there is more infill required it just adds it?? That seems unlike most features in Simplify and most other slicers.

Re: Upgrade Features

No, it is a separate option. Search for "Dense Infill" (it's on the Infill tab). You can choose the number of dense infill layers, or set it to zero (the default) to disable the feature. You can also customize the dense infill percentage in the same place.
