I did a search for settings that need to change when changing nozzle sizes but I did not see much in this forum (which I find rather odd).
I just went from 0.4 to 0.6 I set the nozzle size in Simplify3D of course. And changed the Extrusion width to auto. And set the layer height to .15 ... increased the temp 10 deg and reduced the speed to 2500 mm/min (down from 3000).
Are there any other settings I should hit right away prior to doing a benchy?

Increasing the extrusion width according to the new nozzle size is the most important change to make. Once you've done that, you can consider increasing layer height, reducing the print speed (to allow time for increased plastic flow), and potentially increase the extruder temperature like you said.
Another suggestion could be to check your extruder to see what max volumetric flow rate it is capable of providing. For 1.75mm filament with a certain gear ratio on the extruder, there is sometimes a limit on how much plastic it can push. Once you know that value, you can enter it on Edit Process Settings > Speeds > Maximum Extruder Flow Rate. If you turn on the "Reduce print speed for excessively high flow rates" option, that will make sure the machine never tries to move too quickly for the rate of the extruder.
